In keeping with the dress theme from yesterday, I found this gem on Lulus.com today. I think it would be the perfect pick-me-up for my closet and wear-to-work repertoire. Yes?

All the Pretty Dresses
I don't know about you, but I'm over winter. And it's not just the freezing temperatures or mostly cloudy skies. I'm over the solid color sweaters I've been wearing to work every day to stay warm, not only outside, but inside my chilly office as well. Needless to say, I'm ready to add a lively splash of color to my wardrobe. Plus, I can't wait to slip into some comfy, chic and colorful dresses like these this spring:
This one is appropriately called Orange Crush. I was crushed to see that it was sold out on Lulus.com, but I'm hoping someone decides to return one in my size.

Worth the Wait
Today is cold, wet, cloudy and windy, just like the weather of the past week. We were teased with sunshine and spring-like temps during the second weekend of January, and oh how it made me long to be able to wear short sleeve tops to work again. And when Shawn and I made a trip to Bath & Body Works over the weekend, I couldn't resist the sweet, springy scented candles. Needless to say, I'm ready for spring and all its lovelies.
And it's days like today that make me anxious for our honeymoon at the end of February. Yes, in a month and two days, I will be basking in the exotic-ness of Cozumel's all-inclusive Occidental Grand Resort:

It will be worth the 6-month wait.
Update: Of course after I post this the sun comes out. Refreshing.

Dog with a Blog
Moxyn has a blog. After weeks of pestering me to let her publish her antics online, I finally gave in. I think at 2 years old she's a little young to go posting her life to the world, but she's a rather amusing puppy. And she doesn't take "no" for an answer. You can read The Moxyn Diaries at http://themoxyndiaries.blogspot.com.
Chemicals between us
Last night when I got home from class, I had a package waiting for me on the kitchen table. I didn't order anything. To my surprise, it was a photo book capturing all the wedding-ness that ensued for the Mr. and I in 2009. The gift tag revealed it was from none other than my BFF, KRuff. I flipped through the book with a huge smile on my face, thinking that, even though she said I was the best friend anyone could have, this is the reason she's my best friend. I was elated and texted her immediately with ample thanks and love. The book is proudly displayed on our breakfast bar.
This got me thinking about all the amazing women I am so lucky and thankful to call my friends. I have been so busy with a full-time job, class, a part-time job, work outs and homework that I feel I haven't been keeping good tabs on what's going on in their lives. But I am thrilled to be starting our book club this weekend (more on that in a later post) and attending a girls' gathering complete with a Mexican menu in a couple weeks. I can't wait to catch up on all of our fabulousness.
